As the 'Mini Beast from the East' bought Arctic conditions to West Yorkshire, Town were caught cold as the Eagles moved out of the bottom three.
David Wagner's side were second-best throughout with James Tomkins opening the scoring mid-way through the first-half.
And Luka Milivojevic compounded Town's misery when he converted a second-half penalty after Mathias 'Zanka' Jorgensen brought down Andros Townsend in the area.
