HUDDERSFIELD Town's Academy manager Mark Lillis and his players will be eagerly awaiting the FA Youth Cup draw tomorrow lunchtime after they reached the fourth round with an emphatic 3-0 win at Hartlepool.

Three first half goals ensured a comfortable route through for Town, who started strongly with Kedesh Goddard opening the scoring after only 90 seconds when the skipper lashed a partially cleared cross back into the net.

Town were two up on 28 minutes when Joe Wilkinson pounced to score after Hartlepool keeper Mark Foden had failed to hold a cross.

And Town were three goals to the good before half-time when top scorer Duane Holmes was on hand to finish tidily after  being set up by Danny Morton.

Academy boss Lillis said: “I am really pleased, the first and third goals were magnificent.

“We try to get the lads to play the right kind of football, but sometimes you have to mix it up and that’s how we try to educate the boys."
