“If there are people out there who can do a job for us then I will bring in help,” said Robins, who has Anthony Gerrard (Achilles) and Adam Clayton (foot) under treatment.

“It changes on a daily and weekly basis and I will assess things again this week, but I would still like to bring in a couple of players.”

Alan Tate of Swansea and Wolves’ Adam Hammill, who had a loan here under Simon Grayson, are two to be linked.

“You make inquiries all the time and some of them get out. There’s no movement on that (Tate) at the moment, or anything else, but we will continue to scour the market and see who becomes available in the next day or two.
