LEE CLARK hailed Town’s determination in forcing a 2-2 draw with Leeds – but admitted he was disappointed not to win the latest derby showdown.

Town’s manager watched his side take a 13th-minute lead through Anthony Pilkington and said: “Jordan Rhodes had a great opportunity to make it two before half-time.

“We didn’t manage to do it and Leeds were the dominant team at the start of the second half, scoring both their goals in that period.

“But my players showed great courage and determination to get back into the game from 2-1 down.”

Of Gary Roberts’ 85th-minute equaliser, Clark said: “It was a terrific strike.

“It’s a difficult skill to hit a ball coming at you in the way he did. We know Gary has got great technical ability, and he cushioned the ball on his left foot and sent it into the far corner.”
