Chris Powell remained defiantly upbeat as his problems piled up.

Not only did Huddersfield Town lose 1-0 at Bolton Wanderers, dropping five places to 19th in the Championship as a result, but key men Joel Lynch and Sean Scannell both went off injured.

Powell went into the game without goalkeeper Joe Murphy (foot) and forward Harry Bunn (thigh).

Now he will take a roll-call as he starts preparations for the visit of in-form Brentford on Saturday.

The Bees are up to third after beating Wolves – their fifth win on the spin.

“Injuries are part and parcel of football and we’ll just get on with it,” said Powell.

“We won’t have to get ourselves up for Brentford and it’s a game we can turn things around in.”
