TOWN manager Lee Clark watched his side make it three wins on the trot with a 2-0 win at Tranmere Rovers and smiled: “The only disappointment was that we didn't win by more.”
Striker Lee Novak took his season’s tally to 11 with goals in the seventh and 48th minutes at a bitterly cold Prenton Park.
And Clark said: “ You have got to be delighted when you have three games away from home on the bounce and win them all in the manner in which we have.
“I was delighted with the players application and attitude. But in saying that, there were times in the first half when we didn’t play particularly well.

“We allowed them to make too many passes and play too many balls into our box and we didn’t close them down quickly enough.
“We had a good chat about it at half-time and I thought we came out and did a lot better.
“There were some situations when hit them on the counter attack and had we been able to deliver that final ball the margin of victory could have been bigger.”
Of two goal striker Novak boss Clark said: “He’ll get the praise and deservedly so because he worked very hard.
“ But Jordan Rhodes was a terrific partner for him. He took a bit of a battering, but he did what all good strikers do – take hits for the team and kept coming back for more.”
