DETERMINED Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark confirmed he won’t talk about his own future until the play-offs are finished, even though chairman Dean Hoyle says Town want him to stay and the manager has indicated he’s happy to continue at the helm.

Clark has been boss for two-and-a-half years since taking over from Stan Ternent, he's coming to the end of a three-year deal and is about to lead the club into a second successive League I play-off campaign.

"I’m just focused on the play-offs rather than my own future at the moment, it’s just about winning these football matches," said Clark.

"I have said on numerous occasions that the relationship I’ve got with the owner goes beyond chairman and manager.

"We have become very good friends, but I’m not complacent in the sense that I know if I don’t keep producing the goods then the exit door will be opened.

"As he rightly said, and I’m adamant about, it’s unimportant to me at this moment in time. The play-off matches are all-important and this is how I want it to be.

"This is what I’ve wanted for the owner and the club, to get to the next level and to see if we can keep going."
