TOWN boss Lee Clark has given his players an ultimatum.
After Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Tranmere all but killed off play-off hopes, Clark threw down the gauntlet to his current squad.
“The players have got to produce the performances that make me feel they warrant a place at this football club,” said Clark.
“Each game has thrown up different issues and tests for the players and some of them aren’t providing me with the answers that I want. I love my football, I love what I am doing and I am going to get this right. The players have to decide whether they are coming on the journey with us or not.
“I know I am going to do well for the club. I have the right people around me in my backroom staff, but now I have got to assemble a squad and get the right 20 or so players together – I will do that!”
