A total of five loan players help make up David Wagner's first-team squad - and the club must decide whether to hand them a permanent place at Huddersfield Town.

Decisions must also be made on nine first-teamers who are out of contract come the summer before Wagner and Stuart Webber determine which areas of the squad need strengthening in the next transfer window.

Rajiv van La Parra signed on loan earlier this month with a permanent deal to be completed in the summer.

Meanwhile, Elvis Manu has been recalled by parent club Brighton & Hove Albion to help their push for promotion.

But what of the others?

We run the rule over the remaining five and you can have your say with our interactive widget below.

James Husband

James Husband

Unable to extend a deal for the excellent Ben Chilwell, David Wagner turned to Middlesbrough left back James Husband to provide competition for Jason Davidson.

The defender took time to adapt to Wagner's system, which places so much emphasis on the role of the full back, but he had one of his best games in a Town shirt last time out against Leeds.

However, rumours are that the signing already in place for the summer is German left back Chris Lowe , and that move would likely see Husband return to the Riverside.

Emyr Huws

Sky Bet Championship - Huddersfield Town (1) v Burnley (3) - Emyr Huws.

The Welsh international's time at parent club Wigan Athletic looks to be over, whether or not he remains at the John Smith's Stadium after the conclusion of the current campaign.

The midfielder has made 25 appearances so far this term, and only an ankle injury ruling him out for the whole of February has prevented him adding more.

His range of passing and creative brain has been the perfect fillip alongside either Jonathan Hogg or Dean Whitehead for a balanced partnership at the base of midfield.

The only question is whether Academy graduate Philip Billing is now ready to be the regular starter in that role.

Jamie Paterson

Jamie Paterson is with Town for the season and possibly beyond

A hugely exciting player who fell out of favour at Nottingham Forest, Jamie Paterson has been a huge success at Town.

The good news is, he's only getting better under David Wagne r, scoring more goals, creating more chances and enjoying a new lease of life under the manager.

He also wants to stay , but the managerial switch at the City Ground may mean the new man wants to take a look himelf before sanctioning a sale.

Jed Steer

Sky Bet Championship - Huddersfield Town (1) v Fulham (1) - Jed Steer.

The 23-year-old keeper from Aston Villa has enjoyed an excellent loan stay at Town, winning the no.1 spot and ensuring that one of Wagner's first January moves was to extend his deal.

With Joe Murphy consigned to the bench and Lloyd Allinson still with the u21s, a decision on a goalkeeper must be made ahead of next term.

There is no doubt that Wagner likes the young stopper, and would probably like to keep him, but with Aston Villa looking certs for relegation from the Premier League and needing to cut player costs, they may find their Academy product the perfect solution to their own goalkeeping dilemma.
