HUDDERSFIELD Town are hoping Anthony Gerrard and James Vaughan avoid a booking against Sheffield Wednesday today.

It’s the cut-off game for a one-match ban for five cautions, and the pair are both on four.

Gerrard is available after winning his appeal against a red card during last Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The former Cardiff man controversially saw red for what the FA later decided was a fair challenge on Yannick Bolasie in the 81st minute.

Joel Lynch is available today after serving his suspension for totting up five yellow cards against Blackpool on Boxing Day, and Adam Clayton and Paul Dixon have also had to sit out games for the same reason.

Alan Lee today completes his three-match suspension invoked belatedly for his clash with Hull’s Alex Bruce a fortnight ago.
