Huddersfield Town are facing a Sheffield United side tonight who are wrestling with a few injury problems.

Ryan Flynn, James Wallace and Jamal Campbell-Ryce will all sit out the clash at Bramall Lane (7.45).

Flynn and Campbell-Ryce are expected to feature against Turkish champions Fenerbahçe on Thursday.

Wallace continues to work with United’s medical staff at Shirecliffe, with manager Nigel Clough optimistic about getting his summer recruit from Tranmere Rovers some match action before the Blades kick-off the league campaign against Bristol City on August 9.

Clough explained: “Jamal twisted ans ankle on Friday night and that has swelled up quite a bit. He will miss Tuesday, as will Flynny, but hopefully both should be fine for Thursday’s fixture.

“James is progressing nicely and we want to get him right for the weekend at York. Hopefully we can get 15-20 minutes into his legs on Saturday if everything goes well.”

Town are without James Vaughan (calf, precautionary), Danny Ward (hamstring), Oscar Gobern (toe) and Anthony Gerrard (calf) in South Yorkshire, while manager Mark Robins intends to give most of his squad the bulk of 90 minutes against the Blades and in the Wednesday Development trip to Stalybridge Celtic.
