MARCUS MIDDLETON says Town’s season-ticket prices for 2010-11 are “reasonable” – and expects the majority of his fellow fans to think the same.

Under the club’s saver offer, which runs from next Monday until April 2, an existing adult season-ticket holder in the Britannia Rescue Stand (Kilner Bank) will pay £305 to renew.

It’s an additional £10 for a new season-ticket holder, with Town also introducing family-based initiatives to help trim costs.

In addition, chairman Dean Hoyle has made a £100 Premier League pledge – the price continuous season-ticket holders would pay to watch Town in the top flight.

“I don’t think the prices are too exorbitant. They are reasonable and about what I expected them to be,” said Town Supporters’ Association chair Middleton.

“If that’s what they need to be to help take the club forward, then so be it, because we are clearly seeing investment from the board.

“Obviously we had the centenary season offer and that means three seasons of football being available for around £700, which is decent value.

“We knew that was a one-off, and nobody tried to disguise that the prices would rise again, and I’m still hopeful we’ll be watching our football in the Championship next season.

“As for the Premier League pledge – halleluja! It’s where we all want to get to, and I’d be delighted to take Dean up on that offer.”
