Readers of this column will be aware that, ever since May 2015 and the injustice that befell Huddersfield Town Supporters at Blackpool, HTSA have been campaigning and actively pursuing the Football Association and the Football League.
After much correspondence Professor Derek Fraser BA, MA, PhD, the Independent Football Ombudsman, has finally agreed to look at our complaints.
Professor Fraser will be quite familiar with issues at Blackpool, since 2012 he has investigated three separate complaints from supporters about the football club.
In his most recent conclusion, in July this year, Professor Fraser said, “The supporters were justified in criticising Blackpool’s customer service standards, which are in need of dramatic improvement”.
Perhaps Professor Fraser will now have the opportunity to see if Blackpool FC have taken heed of his past criticisms.
We are also pleased to report that Jason McCartney, MP, is taking an active interest in what he considers to be a “baffling attitude”.
If you saw last week’s televised hearing of the “Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee”, in which the Colne Valley MP quizzed the FA Chairman, Greg Dyke, about a certain ‘timepiece’ and the alleged malfeasance at FIFA, you will realise what a formidable ally we now have.
This is where you, the Huddersfield Town Supporter, can help.
Some supporters have already contacted us with information about the events that took place on that day but we need to hear from everyone who feels that an injustice took place and that they should, at the very least, receive a refund.
The more there are, the louder our protest and the more compelling our case will be.

None of the winning travel free draw numbers were on the coach returning from Burnley.

D Munt (135)1643, one of Debbie Mallinson’s group of Turf Moor walkers, only needed a ‘3’ on the last roll of the die to win £125.
So close but sadly it was not to be.
We understand that Darren had already committed any winnings towards the Yorkshire Air Ambulance fund-raising effort, which was in the region of £3,000, a great effort by the fifteen walkers.
So this means that a total of £500 is still at stake in the two HTSA Free Draws.
Today’s Examiner Free Draw number is, “13523”. If your HTSA membership card was issued within the last week the Free Draw number will now be shown as “(135)3523”.
This number is worth £250 to the lucky cardholder.
