Huddersfield Town fans are still waiting for the date of the League Cup first-round draw.

In recent seasons, the pairings have been revealed the day before the new Football League fixtures.

Those come out at 9am next Wednesday, June 22.

But bosses at what is now called the English Football League have yet to say when their cup draw will come out.

Town lost 2-1 at home to Notts County in round one of what was then the Capital One Cup last season (the sponsorship deal has now finished).

But before that, they won six out of seven ties at the opening stage.

David Wagner will be seeking his first cup win as head coach in the week beginning Monday August 8 (the opening league games are on the weekend of August 6/7).

His side drew 2-2 at home to Reading in the third round of last season’s FA Cup before being beaten 5-2 in the replay.

Chris Powell was at the helm when Notts County won in the Capital One Cup.
