Huddersfield Town fans will learn the identity of their opening day opponents when the fixtures are released on Wednesday June 22 at 9am.

And they will also learn if their first fixture of 2016/17 has been selected for TV broadcast.

The Examiner will be running a live blog from 8am with the fixtures announced at 9am sharp.

Championship fixture release day is a highly-anticipated date in the summer months, with supporters able to look towards the next season and start filling their diaries.

But before booking trains, planes and renting automobiles, it's always nice to have it confirmed that the date and time won't be shifted for the benefit of the TV companies.
