James Husband says it’s great that Huddersfield Town players have an additional day off to look forward to after beating Wolves 1-0.

But the on-loan Middlesbrough left-back insists no extra incentive is needed as David Wagner’s side go to MK Dons chasing three victories running for the first time since 2013.

“It’s the way the coach works – an extra day off if you win, and it’s great he trusts us to look after ourselves properly,” explained Husband.

“But, of course, as professionals, we want to win in any case and when you are enjoying your football, you don’t really need any extra incentives.”

Like Wagner, Husband was pleased with a second straight clean sheet against Wolves as well as the win.

And providing the assist for Wells’ 79th-minute winner was the icing on the cake for the 22-year-old former Doncaster Rovers man, who made his fourth Town start and fifth appearance in all.

“As a full-back, you can’t ask for much more than a clean sheet and an assist,” he added.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game considering the conditions and the opposition. Wolves made it hard for us.

“To be fair, there wasn’t an awful lot in the game, so it’s great that we got the three points.”
