Huddersfield Town will head to League I Barnsley for a friendly on Saturday, August 1, seven days before the start of the new Championship campaign.
It’s their first pre-season trip to Oakwell since 2010, when they were beaten 3-1 in front of 4,478.
But Town did come face to face with Reds manager Lee Johnson at Oldham Athletic during last year’s warm-up programme.
Johnson swapped Boundary Park for Barnsley in February and led the South Yorkshire side to a final position of 11th.
Town’s last visit to Oakwell was for a Championship game in August 2013.
The Reds won 2-1 but were relegated at the end of that season.
It’s the second friendly confirmed after the Saturday, July 11 visit to Conference side Guiseley.
