Huddersfield Town Ladies will close their FA Women’s Premier League campaign away to Preston North End on Thursday (7.45) aiming to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat by Derby County.

Goals by Louisa Abbey and Lauren Steadman in the clash at Borrowash Victoria left Town eighth in the Northern Division table, a place below Preston on the same number of points.

Victory would lift Town to fifth and bring revenge for 3-0 defeat by North End in the FAWPL Plate final at Guiseley last month.

Battyeford Belles won the West Riding Women’s League Chairman’s Supplementary Cup.

They beat Leeds Medics and Dentists 5-4 on penalties after the final finished 3-3.
