TOWN Ladies Reserves went down 2-1 in their local derby against Lepton Highlanders.

Now they must win at Leeds side Amaranth Ladies on Sunday (2.00) to clinch the West Riding Women’s League Third Division title.

Town dominated the opening stages but struggled to create clear-cut chances and went behind after 11 minutes.

Emily Cook shot just over on 37 minutes and Town finally levelled through Shauna Messenger’s penalty early in the second half.

Lepton hit a post with 20 minutes left, then notched the winner with an angled shot when Town failed to clear their lines.

The Under 16s, beaten 5-0 by South Leeds, have West Riding Girls’ League games against Batley Blaze at New Mill on Thursday (6.30) and Bradford City at Grange Moor on Sunday (10.30).
