TOWN have added two more friendlies to their summer schedule as season-ticket sales pushed past the 8,400 mark.

Lee Clark’s side will visit AFC Emley on Friday, July 17, and Bradford Park Avenue on Wednesday, July 22 (both 7.00).

Town’s visit to the Welfare Ground, which they used for four reserve matches this season, has become an annual affair. Last year’s 8-0 victory over the Northern Counties East League side was seen by 1,927.

The last clash with UniBond League Avenue, now bossed by ex-Town player Lee Sinnott (left), was two seasons ago and brought a 1-0 win.

Chief executive Nigel Clibbens said of the season-ticket sales: “It’s very encouraging, especially since we have retained a significant number of those supporters who were new season-ticket holders last season.

“Families are being attracted in large numbers, as well as young fans.

“Prices have had to be increased, and our fans are demonstrating their backing by parting with hard-earned cash.”
