Conor Sammon is the latest striker linked to Huddersfield Town.

The Republic of Ireland international, 28, is currently on loan to Ipswich Town from Derby County.

But Town could now take over a loan which runs to the end of the season.

The Dubliner joined Derby in a £1.2m move from Wigan in 2012.

He has notched 13 goals in 89 games (49 starts) for the Rams.

Nine-times capped Sammon has made eight starts and 12 substitute appearances since arriving at Ipswich in August.

His scored in the 2-1 Championship win at Wigan Athletic in September.

Sammon previously played for Irish sides UCD and Derry City and Scottish club Kilmarnock.
