Display cancelled

The North Stand Loyal’s proposed display that was due to take place against Wigan tonight has been cancelled.

Here is the organisation’s full statement which was posted to Facebook:

Its with regret that our planned display on Monday night against Wigan is going to have to be cancelled. We were hoping to showcase the club on live Television by producing our most ambitious display yet, a large mosaic using foil and a large banner detailing our love for the club.

The reason behind pulling the display is that despite repeated attempts with the club, and KSDL we have been unable to have materials passes due to ‘safety concerns’ This is saddening to us as previously we have complied with the demands of the safety team to ensure that materials used meet the strict guidelines set by KSDL, and also taking into account previous displays by ourselves, and indeed the club

A lot of time, effort and money (which was raised by you, the fans) has gone into this display. We have offered solutions to KSDL and we’re expecting a decision tonight, however that hasn’t been forthcoming so we have no option but to cancel.

We in time we can resolve these issues and the display can happen, it’s just a shame that it won’t be as planned on Monday night in front of the TV Cameras

We would like to thank everyone who contributed the the crowd funder which has enabled us to purchase materials, as well as publicly thanking Chadwick Lawrence for their support too.

We will have the usual flags out on Monday, as we ask that you make sure these are displayed throughout the match along with this usual vocal backing.

Thanks

NSL
