Jack Payne is the latest name to be strongly linked with a summer move to Huddersfield Town.

The 21-year-old aggressive midfielder made 35 appearances for Southend United in the League One season just finished, scoring nine goals.

From Tower Hamlets in London, Payne has made over 80 senior appearances for the Roots Hall club and is highly thought of.

The 5ft 5in battler, however, is out of contract and attracting interest from the likes of Sparta Rotterdam, Ipswich and Wolves.
