TOWN manager Lee Clark has decided not to organise a behind-closed-doors friendly for his players this week.
There is no totesport.com League fixture for the Reserves this mid-week and Clark has opted for a clear build-up to Friday's FA cup first-round clash with League II Dagenham & Redbridge at the Galpharm.
"I could have arranged a behind-closed-doors game, but with the first team playing Sunday-Friday there wasn't really the scope," explained Clark.
"The players who were involved at Oldham have just done a recovery session today and had a swim, while those who were not involved have had a normal football session.
"As for a game, I would probably have needed to involve some of the youth players, but they have an FA Youth Cup-tie of their own on Saturday up at Darlington, so that meant it wasn't really feasible."
That FA Youth Cup first-round game kicks off at noon. The Reserves are next in action at Rotherham a week tomorrow, November 10, when kick-off is 2pm.
