It's the home of Alan Partridge, Sale of the Century and a mighty big mustard manufacturer.

Now Huddersfield Town fans will hope the city of Norwich can produce a three-point haul for their team.

An away win, or even draw, is long overdue after those defeats at Derby County, Fulham, and then Bolton Wanderers.

Chris Powell’s 15th-placed side will have been boosted by their home win over high-flying Brentford.

And Norwich, while up in eighth, haven’t been in the best of form at Carrow Road, with just one win in their last eight (against Bolton).

The suggestion down in Norfolk is that the yellow and green faithful, desperate for a quick return to the Premier League after May’s relegation, will become frustrated if Town can put up the shutters, putting extra pressure on the home players.

Town, however, haven’t claimed victory in Norfolk in nine attempts, and have managed only three draws, one of those in the FA Cup (round three in 1987, with Norwich winning the Leeds Road replay 4-2).

Their last win there came when Frank Worthington was wearing blue and white stripes.

His teammates Bobby Hoy and Colin Dobson scored in the 2-1 success of 1969-70.

Town took the title in what was then Division II that season.

It’s now the Championship, and while promotion might be a pipe dream at the minute, the Norwich game is winnable.

Adding a third away triumph after the victories at Reading and Wolves would create valuable momentum going into the festive fixtures against Birmingham City, Rotherham United and Bolton.

The return of former Norwich favourite Grant Holt adds real interest, while his fellow former Canaries James Vaughan and Jacob Butterfield go back to Carrow Road with something to prove.

Meanwhile Town could come up against Huddersfield-born striker Cameron Jerome, one of a number of top talents in the Norwich squad.

Boss Neil Adams has options all over the pitch, particularly up front, with Lewis Grabban in contention for a return from a groin injury and ex-Celtic star Gary Hooper and Northern Ireland’s Kyle Lafferty pushing for inclusion.

And between the posts, Town must get the better of England international John Ruddy, who has remained despite relegation.
