New Huddersfield Town recruit Michael Hefele has made the 3 Bundesliga Team of the Year in his native Germany.

The 25-year-old centre-back, who joins on a three-year contract on July 1, skippered Dynamo Dresden to the title.

The former UEFA Cup semi-finalists finished eight points clear at the top, suffering just two league defeats.

Hefele, who played Bundesliga football for former club SpVgg Greuther Furth, is one of three Dresden players named in the XI.

Midfielder Marvin Stefaniak and forward Justin Eilers were the other picks

In addition, German supporters voted Hefele the third best player in the German third tier.

He was an ever present and scored seven goals.

Town have also signed German left-back Chris Lowe for the forthcoming Championship campaign.
