Funny

This still amuses me...

We’re back at Examiner HQ thawing out after the U23s’ unfortunate defeat to Leeds.

Doug Thomson will have his match report ready for you later.

Here he is typing it up in the bitter cold at the stadium earlier.

FULL TIME; Town 2-3 Leeds

And that’s a wrap.

Town were unlucky to come away with nothing against a strong Leeds side.

A point would have been fair for Town.

Antonsson completes his hat trick with a header a few phases after the corner.

CORNER

It’s another corner to the visitors.

Getting towards the business end of the match now with Town controlling the match.
Could still go either way though.

CROSSBAR

Coughlan rattles the bar with a good strike from the edge of the area.

Town looking most likely to snatch a winner here.

Going forward

Town looking much more threatening on the ball.

Leeds seeing more possession but aren’t using it as well as the hosts at the moment.

Leeds possession

Leeds holding on to the ball at the minute - not looking particularly dangerous though.

SUB

Ronan Coughlan replaces Jack Boyle for the hosts.

Leeds break from the goal kick and work the ball to Antonsson on the edge of the box.

...which is collected easily by Silvestri.

Closest we’ve come in the second half.

KICK OFF

We’re back under way at the JSS.

HALF TIME

Town go into the break 2-1 up against their Yorkshire rivals.

GOAL: Town 2-1 Leeds

Town capitalise on some poor Leeds defending as O’Brien picks up a loose ball.

The midfielder cuts on to his left foot and his shot is deflected into the bottom corner.

Town going close

The hosts are having the best of it now.

A clipped ball into the box drifts agonisingly out of reach for Town’s strikers, but the Terriers have it back.
