Joe Wright is reflecting on a second Wales Under 21 cap and Huddersfield Town teammate Jake Charles a first after the 3-1 win in Luxembourg.

Bristol City’s Wes Burns scored twice as Geraint Williams’ team made it two wins from two in qualifying for the 2017 European Under 21 Championships in Poland.

Wales beat Bulgaria 3-1 in their opening game of Group V in Cardiff, where defender Wright, who is on loan to Accrington Stanley, made his debut.

Wright once again started the Luxembourg game in Esch-sur-Alzette, while Charles came off the bench.

Wales will also face Romania, Denmark and Armenia home and away with the nine group winners qualifying for the 12-team finals and the four best runners-up advancing to play-offs, from which two win through.

Next up is a game in Denmark on Friday, October 9.

Burns got Wales off to a fine start with a 35th-minute effort before Liverpool’s Harry Wilson doubled the lead by firing past Valentin Roulez 18 minutes after the break.

A second by Burns in the 72nd minute sealed the Welsh victory before Luxembourg grabbed a consolation in injury time.
