It was back to basics for Huddersfield Town on their pre season trip to Sweden.

The players met up for the first time after the summer break last Friday and immediately flew off for the first of two training camps on foreign soil - they are due to visit Austria next month.

Rather than fitness drills and ball skills, Sweden was a chance for the squad to bond on a "survival camp" expedition.

David Wagner warned his charges that his summer schedule would be different to what most of them had experienced before, and these photos show he certainly delivered.

Town return to more familiar climes next week with the first of five pre-season friendlies away to Guiseley on Wednesday July 6 (7.45).

Oldham Athletic are the opponents at Boundary Park on Saturday July 16 (3.00) and then Town entertain Liverpool in the pick of the friendly dates on Wednesday July 20 (7.45).

Demand is already high with in excess of 10,000 tickets sold.

Wagner will then take his squad to Austria for a more traditional training camp where they will face Werder Bremen and FC Ingolstadt before the Championship season kicks off at home to Brentford on August 6.
