Coach Frankie Bunn says Huddersfield Town are more than ready to take on Charlton Athletic in the Under 21 Premier League Cup round of 16.

To avoid wear and tear at the John Smith’s Stadium, tomorrow’s tie has been switched to Stalybridge Celtic (1pm).

Admission at Bower Fold (postcode SK15 2RT) is £4 adults, £2 concessions.

It’s Town’s first game since a 2-2 Final Third Development League Cup group game draw with Doncaster Rovers on December 23.

Town toppled Everton in the Premier League Cup in the game before, having earlier seen off Barnsley in the competition.

And Bunn said: “The lads are chomping at the bit after a nice break over the Christmas period.

“This is a national competition against category one teams, so progression in this competition has been enjoyable.

“We come up against different types of players, formations and styles of play and that’s good for our development, but we’re focussed on ourselves.

“I’ve been quite pleased with the performances of late. We’ve been playing attractive football by getting the ball down and we’ve also pressed the opposition hard.

“The key is to get that combination right.”

While Town top the Professional Development League II North table, Charlton, coached by Jason Euell, are fourth in the Southern section.
