TOWN’S reserve side will have to wait for the chance to build on a 3-2 win at Leeds United in their Central League East Division opener.

They were due to have played Scunthorpe United at the Galpharm on Wednesday, but the game has been put off because of the Carling Cup second-round clash with Sheffield United.

It will now take place at the stadium on Wednesday, September 17, with a 7.00 kick-off.

There are no scheduled matches between then and now for Mick Docherty’s charges, who won at Elland Road through a Malvin Kamara header and two strikes by Phil Jevons, the first a penalty.

The second string will play 16 league matches, with Town electing not to enter the cup.
