Huddersfield Town summer signing Michael Hefele is already looking forward to his first season in England.

Already relishing the challenge of a packed fixture calendar and winning a starting spot in the squad, the centre back has been speaking in Germany about the many new stadiums he will get to visit and the new teams he will be lining up against.

But in his spare time he might choose to head over to Leeds - with the 'beautiful' surroundings catching his eye.

He told Donaukurier: "There are so many attractive stadiums and interesting teams in the second English league. It's something special.

"Leeds are also in the vicinity which I also liked. It is a beautiful area.

"There are not so many Germans, who have the ability to go to England and to play football there.

"It will certainly be a tough season with many games.

"The most important thing is that I stay healthy and I can secure a regular place for Huddersfield.”
