HI EVERYONE! Two games to go, the last at home tomorrow, and we are hell bent on going out with a bang for you all against Brighton.

Brighton, of course, deserve our utmost respect and are playing for their lives with the prospect of relegation still a frightening reality.

A new manager and seemingly renewed team vigour will provide us with the sternest of tests. yet it’s one we are capable of passing with flying colours if we ‘click’.

We won our fourth away game in a row against Walsall last Saturday against a team who went two up in the first half.

While we’d actually had a couple of reasonable chances ourselves, we hadn’t played well and could have no complaints about the way we’d been punished on the scoreboard.

The script then changed and that young whippersnapper Andy Booth decided to redress the balance on the day and give his team a lifeline.

It was welcomed by all for 2-2 at half-time. A tactical switch by Lee, professionally taken on board by the team and a 3-2 turnaround victory was our reward for meeting our challenges head up and head on!

In the second half, we were different class. Martin Kelly got a superb winner (his first for the club since his arrival on loan from Liverpool) and we could have had more.

A great team effort won the day for us, and I’m expecting it too this weekend. Fast, exciting, flowing football is what we have planned to serve you – hopefully it will be to your taste.

Next week it’s the last column of the season, and it will give me the chance to provide a report of our time here so far.

Quote of the week: “The difference between a weed and a flower is a judgement ... see things how you want to see them and results will inevitably follow.”

See you tomorrow.

Onwards and upwards!

Blackie.
