HUDDERSFIELD Town's Jordan Rhodes has rivals Sheffield United in his sights at Wembley but insisted: “It’s not about me, it’s about the team.”

Town’s 40-goal frontman Huddersfield with Simon Grayson’s play-off final squad last night as attention heightened on his match-winning ability and whether he’ll remain at the Galpharm.

Rhodes, who will link up with Scotland Under 21s immediately after Town’s bid to reach the Championship, is playing it all cool and keen to focus on just one thing – winning promotion.

“I haven’t dreamed about scoring the winning goal or anything like that because it’s not about me, it’s about the team,” he said.

“It’s not about who scores the goals, it’s a matter of Huddersfield Town scoring more than Sheffield United – simple as that.

“The match will be very tough, but hopefully we can do it. We aren’t thinking about winning, just about the task in hand against a very tough team.”

Boss Grayson – who will give keeper Ian Bennett until the last minute to prove he’s recovered from a hand injury – laughed off suggestions of £3.5m offers and says Rhodes’ future will take care of itself.

“You get £3.5m offers for people who have scored 10 or 15 goals, not 40, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it,” said Grayson, who confirmed Scott Arfield (ankle) is fit.

“First and foremost, Jordan is desperate to help get us up to the Championship and I would think he’ll thrive on the big stage, because he seems to score in all the big games.”

If Town have to seriously consider selling Rhodes – who is contracted to 2015 – then Grayson reckons it will be a two-way decision and a lot of money will have to be involved.

“You have to take into consideration what the player wants, but Jordan is the first to acknowledge what this club has done for him and what his teammates have done for him,” he said.

“Jordan takes everything in his stride and if he goes to a higher level he will just keep working and learning, because that’s the sort of character he is.

“He is among the best strikers I’ve worked with, no doubt about that, and at the moment he’s just thinking about one game and doing well.

“As I’ve said, he seems to score in all the big games and, hopefully, he’s got a couple more goals in his locker on Saturday to help win it for us.”
