THE most obvious date in Town fans’ diaries is the start of the season on August 7th – unless that coincides with holiday dates of course – but there are two other dates for supporters to bear in mind.
In chronological order, the Patrons Association gets under way on Thursday, August 5th with Lee Clark as the principal guest. Look out for more details in two weeks’ time.
Then, as intimated last week, we have the Supporters Association meeting in Halifax on Thursday, August 19th. This will have two very separate parts to it.
First, at 7:30pm, is the AGM, as detailed in the newsletter which has now been distributed. (Would any HTSA members who have not received their copy please let us know, either by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to PO Box 1908, Huddersfield, HD4 6WT)
The second part, following immediately after the AGM, will be an open night with the Club’s Ambassador, Andy Booth.
This meeting in planned as a re-launch of the Calderdale regional group but all members are welcome. The venue is The Old Post Office pub in the centre of Halifax (55 Winding Road, HX1 1UZ), managed by a Town fan.
Finally, would anyone planning to go to either Barnsley or Scunthorpe please note that there will NOT be any HTSA coaches to these matches. Renewed efforts are being made this season to run away coaches without making a loss – hence the cancellations because of the relatively few bookings.
