AS most Patrons will be aware, the new season usually starts with a meeting on the first Thursday in August.

This Olympic year is different, however. The delayed start to the season means the first Patrons’ meeting will be Thursday, August 9, when the principal guest will be Simon Grayson.

Please look out for more information next week – this is simply to advise Patrons NOT to turn up next Thursday.

Members of Town’s Supporters Association should look out for a newsletter to be delivered before the end of next week.

This will include formal notice of the AGM, scheduled for Thursday, September 13, to be followed by an open meeting for Town supporters at Canalside.

The newsletter will also have the latest information on the benefits package for members, which is still growing.

Internet users can find details of all these offers at – make sure you keep checking there for the latest additions, including a deal for HTSA members to ‘enjoy’ a special discount on car hire nationally with

Locally we have also agreed a discount deal with Choosy’s Tea & Coffee House.

You know it makes sense to join HTSA. At only £5 per year for adults it guarantees you reduced coach prices as well as the benefits package.

Full details on how to join can be found on the HTSA website at: – or write to us c/o Wheawill & Sudworth, PO Box B30, 35 Westgate, Huddersfield HD1 1PA

Finally, for now, HTSA is pleased to announce an exciting partnership with Town fan Mark Young.Š

Throughout the season we hope to sell a number of exclusive limited edition T-shirts and Hoodies for all Town fans, with a percentage of proceeds going to the Keep It Up campaign.

The first two designs are ‘Smile Awhile’ and ‘The Cowshed’ – full details as usual on the HTSA website. You can place your order straight away at with your size and address.

Payment can be made through eBay or by sending a cheque or postal order made payable to Huddersfield Town Supporters Association to HTSA, 50a Valley Road, Liversedge, WF15 6DF.
