THE Town Supporters Association, as part of its raison d’être, strives to offer supporters comfortable, affordable travel to away matches.

We are most grateful to Sally Peckett for the sterling work that she does in organising and stewarding the coaches on HTSA’s behalf.

It has recently come to our attention that some Town supporters overcome significant difficulties just to get to home games at the Galpharm Stadium.

This may be because they have to travel quite considerable distances (and that is becoming increasingly more expensive) or they rely entirely on public transport or, due to personal circumstances, they have to rely quite heavily on the support of friends, relations or escorts who assist with their travel arrangements.

In the case of supporters who depend upon the assistance of escorts, they may be unable to attend matches if their escort is indisposed for any length of time.

If you know of any supporters who suddenly find that they are unable to attend home matches due to changes to their normal travel arrangements please let HTSA know (either by email to info@htsa.co.uk or by phoning 07798 727782) and we may be able to find alternative help either for the short term or even long term.

Likewise, please let us know if you regularly travel to home matches and you have spare seats available in your vehicle. We may be able to put you in touch with supporters from your area who would be more than willing to share the journey with you.

March got off to a great start on Tuesday with the win at Hartlepool. Let’s hope there’s more to come, both home and away, starting this Saturday with the long trip to Yeovil. Departure time for the Supporters Association coach is 7.30am and the trip is at the standard price of £16 for members. Please call Sally on 07926 165863 or email travel@htsa.co.uk to book your place.

Finally, a quick reminder to Patrons that there is no meeting tonight. The next one is Thursday, April 7, when the guest will be Lee Clark.
