SO now we know our destination (if not our destiny) a week on Sunday January 30.
The first point to note, of course, is the date and then the time: a noon kick-off, thanks to the live television coverage.
The Supporters Association have organised coaches for the trip, leaving the Galpharm at 5am and priced at our standard rate of £16 for members (with a £2 surcharge for non-members).
The main reason for the early start is the requirement to be in the coach park two hours before kick-off. This is located at Finsbury Park, about a mile from the stadium. Supporters should also be aware that there is a bus shuttle service to The Emirates.
You will be able to book your place either by phoning Sally on 07926 165863 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, call into the St. Andrew’s cabin this Saturday, which promises to be a busy day. To begin with, Dean Hoyle is set to host a Q&A session at Canalside, starting at 12.30pm.
The day ends with ‘Those were the Days’, a fund-raiser for two Knights of Yorkshire at The Gas Club, organised by Andy Shuter. Last-minute tickets are available by phoning him on 07973 163963.
In between these events, there’s a small matter of a match against Colchester and Town supporters are reminded that the South Stand is open to home fans, as announced last week.
The Club have agreed to make arrangements as simple as possible by allowing season-ticket holders to transfer at the gate on the day and also to allow non-season-ticket walk-up fans to pay at the gate as well, at prices equivalent to the Fantastic Media Stand.
So we re-issue our rallying call to Town fans to add that ‘Triple S’ factor to our Support by filling our allocation in the South Stand!
