Huddersfield Town’s blue and white stripes will carry a new sponsor’s name next season.

Rekorderlig’s three-year shirt deal is at an end, although the cider company will remain a ‘commercial partner’ of the club.

That means another brand – and Town say they are negotiations with three organisations – will adorn the new Puma-manufactured home kit.

Town, who will also have a new change strip, still sponsored by Thornton and Ross, have yet to confirm release dates for the kits.

Rekorderlig was the 12th name on Town’s first-choice colours after Central Garage Mirfield (1982-84), Daihatsu (1984-86), Greenall’s (1986-91), Gola (1991-93), Pulse (1993-95), Panasonic (1995-2001) Prime Time (2001-05), Yorkshire Building Society (2005-07), Casino Red (2007-09), Yorkshire Air Ambulance (2009-10), Kirklees College (2010-12).

Kieron Barton, owner of Rekorderlig’s global brand distributor Chilli Marketing, explained: “Everyone at Rekorderlig Cider has been proud to be Huddersfield Town’s main home shirt sponsor over the past three seasons – and we are truly delighted with the results.

“The sponsorship, and exposure that comes with it, has helped us raise our profile and support our growth on a local, national and international scale.

“Whilst the time has now come for us to move away from the home shirt, we are committed to continuing our commercial relationship with Huddersfield Town and will be involved in several areas.”

Town commercial director Sean Jarvis said: “The club is currently seeking a new home shirt sponsor to be proudly displayed across the famous blue and white stripes.

“Nothing is set in stone yet, but we are already in advanced conversations with three organisations.

“The aim is to have the new home shirt sponsor in place ahead of the launch of the 2015-16 home kit.”
