THE final selections for our Huddersfield Town Dream Team of the 2000s have now been made!

And perhaps it is no surprise that two great favourites of the Galpharm scene right now have earned the votes of Town fans.

We asked you to pick the two best strikers from a list of six to lead the attack in our notional select – and what a partnership you picked!

First up was club legend Andy Booth, who followed up his selection from the 1990s Dream team (when he was chosen by fans alongside Marcus Stewart).

This time Boothy will partner none other than Jordan Rhodes, the man whose 40 goals this term have taken Town to the verge of promotion and earned him international honours with Scotland and their Under 21 side.

What a shame they didn’t actually get chance to play alongside each other – Rhodes being brought in basically to replace Booth after he had played his last match down at Leyton Orient (with 178 career goals to his name – 150 for Town and 28 for Sheffield Wednesday).

One fan said: “You would put Boothy in any Town side for his commitment to the cause, his heading and shooting ability and his goals – a true legend for his hometown club.”

Another added: “Boothy was and is Mr Huddersfield Town and he gives everything for the fans.”

On Rhodes, one explained: “He is the best goalscorer I have ever seen in a Town shirt.”

Another added: “Jordan is improving all the time and will go on to be a top-flight star.”
