LEE CLARK is making the most of a blank week as Town prepare for Saturday’s key clash with League I leaders Norwich City at the Galpharm.

After Tuesday night away games for the last four weeks, it’s a welcome chance to recharge the batteries.

And the boss, who has named first-team squad members Simon Eastwood, Nathan Clarke, Krystian Pearce, James Berrett and Theo Robinson in the reserve team to take on Bradford City in the totesport.come League at Emley today (2.00), is varying training accordingly.

“You take the fixtures the way they fall, and this is an opportunity to try and freshen the lads up a bit,” said the ex-Norwich assistant manager.

“Saturday’s game has all the makings of a real cracker, and the aim is to prepare as well as we possibly can do so we’re spot-on by Saturday.

“We’ve had a bit of a blip, but when we’re on our game, I believe we can beat any side in the division, and this is the perfect chance to prove it.”

Norwich have midfielder Darel Russell available after a three-match ban.

Town reserves: Eastwood, Powell, N Clarke, Pearce, Ridehalgh, Hassan, Berrett, Harris, Hunt, Spencer, Robinson.
