SATURDAY'S game was a bit of an unexpected goal fest at the Galpharm - but what did you make of the individual performances.

Below are the ratings by the Examiner's HTAFC reporter Doug Thomson and on page two are the fans' ratings, submitted using our Player Rater system.

IAN BENNETT
The keeper made some good saves but, having been beaten four times, will want to forget this game. 6

GARY NAYSMITH
Showed his experience and positional play and maintained his own unbeaten League I tag, now 14 games. 6

LEE PELTIER
Defended solidly and linked well with Town’s wide players to get forward with ambition and purpose. 6

JAMIE McCOMBE
Was kept busy by the pace of Schlupp and Grabban, but still found time to get upfield in a bid to sting the Bees. 6

PETER CLARKE
Lost out to Schlupp for Brentford’s opener, and like keeper Bennett, the skipper will want to banish this one. 6

DANNY WARD
Was the star of the show for Town, with a series of lively runs and stinging shots, two of which brought goals. 8

SCOTT ARFIELD
Took a central midfield slot alongside Joey Gudjonsson and tackled keenly while working to spark attacks. 6

JOEY GUDJONSSON
The Icelander tried his best to get Town’s passing game going and had several efforts at goal over the game. 6

BENIK AFOBE
Once again showed his pace and power and claimed an eighth goal before making way for Kevin Kilbane. 7

JORDAN RHODES
LInked up well with Danny Ward in the first half, but few chances came his way and was replaced by Lee Novak. 6

GARY ROBERTS
Worked hard but not nearly as influential as Town fans know he can be, and was subbed by Jack Hunt. 6

Substitutes:
Lee Novak (for Rhodes, 49mins) 7;
Jack Hunt (for Roberts, 62) 6;
Kevin Kilbane (for Afobe, 74) 6.
