HUDDERSFIELD Town picked up a point on Saturday - while rivals Brighton and Southampton both lost.
The 0-0 draw against Colchester cemented Town's place near the top of the table, but what did you make of the performance?
Below are the Examiner HTAFC reporter Doug Thomson's ratings, while on Page Two are the ratings submitted by fans using our Player Rater system.
IAN BENNETT
The keeper earned his corn with two late saves from Kayode Odejayi as Town kept a welcome clean sheet. 8
KEVIN KILBANE
The dependable on-loan Hull man slotted in fairly seamlessly at left-back to play an effective part. 7
LEE PELTIER
Shackled the tricky Anthony Wordsworth and got forward effectively to put in some testing crosses. 6
JOEY GUDJONSSON
Worked hard on his first start in six alongside Scott Arfield in central midfield and went close with a free-kick. 6
PETER CLARKE
Made the odd lapse, but worked diligently to limit Colchester’s options and test their defence when possible. 6
JAMIE McCOMBE
Made some key tackles while his aerial power helped keep the visitors at bay. Close to a goal in the first half. 7
ANTHONY PILKINGTON
The orange-booted wideman tried his best to unpick a solid U’s defence, but was left frustrated. 6
SCOTT ARFIELD
Had a combative tussle with David Perkins as he covered plenty of ground in the middle of the park. 6
JORDAN RHODES
Linked up well with midfield and had a couple of efforts on goal before his afternoon was cut short by injury. 6
ALAN LEE
Put himself about as Town tried to unsettle the visitors’ big centre-backs Pat Baldwin and Matt Heath. 6
GARY ROBERTS
Like fellow winger Pilkington, he put in some hard yards and decent deliveries, but Colchester stood firm. 6
