Huddersfield Town have hosted Doncaster 21 times winning 10, drawing seven and losing four. They also hold a 42-24 advantage in goals scored. Between August 1982 and September 2006, Town went 10 home games unbeaten against Rovers.

Managed by ex-Town star Peter Doherty, Doncaster were beaten 3-1 on their first visit in September 1952. Goals from Jimmy Watson, Jimmy Glazzard and Alistair Gunn put Town top of Division II (now the Championship).

When Rovers visited in October 1977 Town were next to bottom of the old Fourth Division, but strikes from Terry Gray, Mick Butler (left), Steve Baines and Terry Armstrong secured a vital 4-1 win.

The crowd was just 4,592.

Rovers’ most recent return to Huddersfield ended in a 2-2 League I draw in April 2008. Town led twice but goals from Robbie Williams (7) and Andy Holdsworth (left, 61) were cancelled out by Gareth Taylor (52) and Paul Green (84).
