TOWN’S Reserves slipped to a 5-1 defeat at Newcastle United despite taking an early lead in the league clash.

Jack Hunt gave Town the lead after just three minutes with a neat finish after cutting in from the left wing.

However, the Magpies hit back three minutes later through Haris Vuckic and went on to run away with the game with further strikes from Paul Dummett, Callum Morris and Phil Airey, with Vuckic adding his second.
