HUDDERSFIELD Town's early-season opponents have been busy in the transfer market.
Cardiff City – who Simon Grayson’s side meet in their opening game – and Nottingham Forest, who are the first visitors to the newly-named John Smith’s Stadium, have both made signings in the last couple of days.
Forest completed their fourth signing in the last week with the capture of Dan Harding from Southampton.
The 28-year-old left-back signed a three-year contract and joins fellow new boys Adlene Guedioura, Danny Collins and Greg Halford at the City Ground, who all completed moves this week.
"It’s brilliant, I’m really pleased," Harding told the club’s official website.
"I spoke to the gaffer (Sean O’Driscoll) and liked what he had to say. I’m really excited."
Harding made 25 appearances for Southampton last season as they secured promotion to the Barclays Premier League.
Forest chairman Omar Al Hasawi told the club’s official website: "We’re delighted with the way things are taking shape.
"Like Adlene, Danny and Greg, Dan is an experienced performer and knows what it takes to gain promotion from the Championship."
Cardiff landed South Korean international midfielder Kim Bo-Kyung on a three-year contract.
He made the move to South Wales from J League Division I club Cerezo Osaka in Japan.
The player is part of South Korea’s Olympic team and will seek a work permit when the Games are over.
He will then link up with the Cardiff squad as soon as possible and will be available when Town travel to the City of Cardiff Stadium for the first match of the Championship season on Friday, August 17.
