FANS have until Monday to vote on the best goal scored in this season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy – with Jordan Rhodes’ first effort in Town’s area semi-final win at Tranmere among the 10 contenders picked out of the 126 goals yielded by the competition.
The striker scored twice in the 2-0 win at Prenton Park, with the opener a deft first-half lob over Rovers keeper Gunnar Nielsen.
Also shortlisted is Tom Taiwo’s effort for Carlisle against Town in the area final first leg at Brunton Park.

Danny Hylton (Aldershot) v Oxford, first round.
Dean Morgan (Walsall) v Chesterfield, first round.
Vincent Pericard (Swindon) v Southampton, first round.
Anthony Sweeney (Hartlepool) v Northampton, first round.
Craig Noone (Plymouth) v Cheltenham, second round.

Johnstone’s Paint Trophy sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “Picking 10 goals from 126 was hard enough, so we are relieved to throw the final vote over to the supporters.
“We have learned a great deal in our fifth season of Johnstone’s Paint sponsorship, but one thing we have always known is just how knowledgeable the fans are.
“They know a good goal when they see it, so we look forward to seeing their views.”
