JAMES VAUGHAN is hoping he can forge a strike partnership with Jordan Rhodes which could catapult Huddersfield Town up the npower Championship standings.
The 24-year-old frontman, who made his debut in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Burnley just 24 hours after signing on a season-long loan from Norwich, believes Town can stay on the up.
“Everyone knows Jordan is a quality player and hopefully, with a few more games together, we can forge a really good partnership,” said Vaughan.
“It’s easy to have good link-up play with good players and I’m hoping we can push on, not just for me but for the whole team.
“The gaffer just wants me to work hard and do what I’m good at, so hopefully I’ll get a few goals and assists and we’ll do well.”

Vaughan says hard graft will be the key to Town doing well, starting against Ipswich at Portman Road on Saturday.
“If we keep working and playing like we did on Saturday then hopefully we’ll surprise a few people,” he said.
“I feel great, I feel like I’ve made the right move and I’m looking forward to getting some games under my belt.
“It was great to get a standing ovation from the home fans – it’s always fantastic to know the supporters appreciate what you are doing – and hopefully it will be a successful season.
