STEPHEN JORDAN emerged from an eventful Town debut and insisted: “We’re good enough to win automatic promotion.”

The loan signing of the 28-year-old Sheffield United left-back was announced on Saturday morning and the former Manchester City and Burnley man featured against Leyton Orient at the Galpharm as Town were pegged back after leading 2-0 through Jordan Rhodes and Lee Novak.

The Londoners levelled through Jimmy Smith despite having Harry Kane, scorer of their first goal, sent off for two bookings.

It meant a fourth successive draw, but Town stay third in League I and Jordan said: “This squad is good enough to go up, no doubt about it, and I want to do what I can to help.

“It’s been turbulent at Sheffield United this season and the manager (Micky Adams) told me he was making me available for loan, so it’s great to feel wanted here at Huddersfield.”
