MARK HUDSON has today been transfer-listed by Town.

The 25-year-old midfielder is having his name circulated to all Football League clubs with a week of the transfer window to go.

The news comes as manager Peter Jackson revealed bids for a striker and defender from the Championship have been rejected.

He is now hoping to tempt another defender from a Premiership club to come to the Galpharm on loan until the end of the season.

"Mark Hudson's name is being circulated and we'll see what comes of that," said Jackson, who rubbished reports of an interest in Norwich striker Paul McVeigh.

"Mark is in the same situation as Pawel Abbott in that there aren't the first-team opportunties here at the moment that he wants."

Hudson has made only one start this year and has lost his place to Matthew Young.

On the transfer front, Jackson added: "It's proving difficult, but we've still got a week left."
